My paintings show a great influence of Old Prague and its mystery. I always say I would have never achieved any artistic satisfaction if I had not come to Prague in the spring of 1988. My paintings have the ability to take you back over the centuries to a bygone era that allows you to walk along streets accompanied by clowns and harlequins. My sense of humour makes the paintings understandable and appealing to a wide audience. The paintings are a combination of glaze and rough palette knife techniques. This gives them an extra quality and uniqueness. Often I use even my own fingers, which I consider the best brush. It takes me no less than half a year to create one. The process of painting takes a lot of energy; it is a joyful but demanding labour of love.
